Nestled on the western podium of the ancient St. Mary Church, Tseftesf served as a sacred site for religious gatherings, where the priests of Aksum would convene. The terraced steps provided a place for solemn discussions, with their decisions held in the highest regard. As visitors approach the church, they are greeted by the David Throne, a historic seat where kings were anointed by bishops during their coronation, marking the site as a symbol of divine authority and royal tradition.
